Terms of Use

1. What Lookwell is
Lookwell is an app that works with the Ring cameras and doorbells you choose to share with it in the Ring app. It checks small things at home (trash bins, the garage door, the driveway, deliveries, camera health) and counts doorbell activity. Lookwell works with Ring cameras. It is not made by, or affiliated with, Ring LLC or Amazon. By using Lookwell you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
2. Not a security or safety system
Lookwell is a convenience tool. It is not a security, safety, alarm or emergency system, and it doesn't watch your home all the time. Its checks and alerts can be late, missed or wrong: for example a picture can be too dark, Ring may not have a recent picture, your internet or Ring's service may be down, or a check may simply guess wrong. Don't rely on Lookwell to protect people, pets or property. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
3. Subscription and billing
- Lookwell is one monthly subscription, $3.99 a month, with every feature included. It is sold and billed by Ring through the Ring Appstore in the Ring app, and Ring's purchase, refund and cancellation terms apply to it.
- It starts with a 14-day free trial. The trial doesn't turn into a paid plan by itself: to keep going you subscribe in the Ring app. When a trial ends or a subscription stops, features pause and your settings are kept until you delete them.
- You start, manage and cancel the subscription in Ring My Apps (in the Ring app: My Apps → Lookwell). A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you paid for.
- We won't take features away from a subscription during a period you've paid for. If we make a material change to it, we'll tell you at least 45 days ahead. Price changes apply only as Ring's rules allow and with notice.
4. Using Lookwell fairly
- Use Lookwell only with cameras you own or are allowed to use, and follow the laws where you live about recording and cameras.
- Don't use Lookwell to watch, track or identify people without their knowledge, or to harass anyone. Lookwell doesn't recognize faces or read license plates, and you must not try to make it.
- If you use features that log when people come and go (for example service workers), tell them.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around Lookwell's limits, or access other people's data.
5. Your household
The account owner can invite up to 6 other people. The owner is responsible for who they invite and for what members may do (for example, whether members can look at the cameras). Members can leave at any time, and the owner can remove them.
6. Your data
How we collect, use, keep and delete data is explained in the Privacy notice, which is part of these terms. We don't sell your data and don't use your pictures to train AI.
7. Ending and deleting your account
You can stop at any time: More → Privacy → "Disconnect and delete everything", or remove Lookwell in the Ring app. Both delete your account and its data right away. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law, and we'll tell you why when we can.
8. Warranties and liability
We work hard to make Lookwell useful and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or right every time. To the extent the law allows, Lookwell and its makers aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss or damage that comes from relying on a check or an alert, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Lookwell in the 12 months before the claim (or $10 if you haven't paid anything). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be limited.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll show the new date here, and for material changes we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 45 days before they apply. If you keep using Lookwell after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live says otherwise. Questions: support@lookwell.app.

Qué es Lookwell. Una app que funciona con las cámaras y timbres Ring que compartes con ella en la app de Ring. Revisa cosas pequeñas de la casa (botes de basura, puerta del garaje, entrada, entregas, salud de las cámaras) y cuenta la actividad del timbre. Lookwell funciona con cámaras Ring. No es de Ring LLC ni de Amazon, ni está afiliado a ellos. Al usar Lookwell aceptas estos términos.
No es un sistema de seguridad. Lookwell es una herramienta de conveniencia, no un sistema de seguridad, alarma ni emergencias. Sus revisiones y alertas pueden llegar tarde, no llegar o equivocarse. No dependas de Lookwell para proteger personas, mascotas ni bienes. En una emergencia, llama al número de emergencias local.
Suscripción y pagos. Lookwell es una sola suscripción mensual de $3.99 con todas las funciones incluidas, que Ring vende y cobra a través de la Ring Appstore en la app de Ring; se aplican sus condiciones de compra, reembolso y cancelación. La prueba gratis de 14 días no se convierte sola en un plan de pago. Empiezas, administras y cancelas la suscripción en Mis apps de Ring (en la app de Ring: Mis apps → Lookwell); la cancelación vale al final del periodo pagado. No quitamos funciones durante un periodo pagado y avisamos con 45 días de anticipación de cambios importantes.
Uso justo. Usa Lookwell solo con cámaras que te pertenecen o que puedes usar, y respeta las leyes locales sobre grabación. No lo uses para vigilar, rastrear o identificar a personas sin que lo sepan. Si usas funciones que registran cuándo llegan trabajadores, avísales. No intentes romper ni evadir sus límites.
Tu hogar. El titular puede invitar hasta 6 personas y es responsable de a quién invita y de lo que pueden hacer.
Tus datos. Se explican en el aviso de privacidad, que forma parte de estos términos.
Terminar. Puedes borrar tu cuenta cuando quieras (Más → Privacidad → "Desconectar y borrar todo", o quitando Lookwell en la app de Ring).
Garantías y responsabilidad. Lookwell se ofrece "tal cual", sin garantías, en la medida que la ley lo permita. No somos responsables de pérdidas indirectas ni de daños por confiar en una revisión o alerta; nuestra responsabilidad total se limita a lo que pagaste en los 12 meses anteriores (o 10 USD si no has pagado nada). Esto no limita derechos del consumidor que la ley no permite limitar.
Cambios. Avisaremos de cambios importantes al menos 45 días antes, en la app o por correo.
Ley y contacto. Rigen las leyes del Estado de Nueva York, EE. UU., salvo que la ley de tu lugar diga otra cosa. Preguntas: support@lookwell.app.
