Lookwell trick-or-treat counter: count every knock on Halloween. No faces, no plates, delete anytime.

How It Works

How the Counter Works

  1. On October 31 Lookwell offers to count the night, or start it yourself. It counts groups at the door, not people, in 15-minute steps.

  2. Missed a knock? Tap the big +1 button.

  3. A candy check now and then, as the visits add up.

  4. At lights out, a night card: the total, the busiest stretch and how it compares with last year.

What You Need

  • A Ring video doorbell, or a camera facing the front door
  • That’s it: no pictures are used, so it works with end-to-end encryption on

Good to Know

  • It’s for the adult handing out candy; nothing in it is aimed at children.
  • Counts are kept per 15 minutes for two years, so you can compare. Delete a night anytime.
  • Busy groups and passers-by can make the count a little off; the +1 button and your eyes win.
